What is Playing On Sports?
Playing On Sports covers the graduates of 1,000 high schools located in Kansas and Missouri who compete in 11 sports in any of the 1,100 NCAA Division I, II, or III colleges and universities.
Our best athletes go on to play the sport they love in college. It is impossible to keep track of them because our lives are busy. And then there is the Transfer Portal. Contact is lost. Until now. Playing on Sports is the only publication that delivers so much information on so many athletes as they compete at the next level. No longer are they “Out of sight, out of mind”.
Every athlete is identified by their name, sport, position, class, high school, college, and collegiate conference.

Highlighting Division I Baseball
Below are leaderboards for five batting categories, stolen bases, and four pitching categories. It isn’t unusual for a player to be on more than one leaderboard. But, so far this year, a handful are dominating the batting categories. Let’s focus on two of those athletes and how they got there.
Patrick Clohisy (Chaminade/St. Louis University) and Tyler Fogarty (Chaminade/St Louis University). Note the commonality. Both played their high school ball at Chaminade, and both took circuitous routes to where they are today. Patrick started out at Purdue before transferring to SLU after is redshirt and freshmen years. As a sophomore last year, he started all 55 games and batted .332, while stealing 24 bases out of 25 attempts. He lead the Billikins in At Bats, Runs, Triples, and Total Bases. And that was despite being walked a team high 40 times. Tyler first attended Notre Dame before transferring to SLU. As a junior last year, he started 52 games and batted .300. He was among the team leaders in multiple categories. The two former Red Devils are dominating these leader boards, and well beyond. Patrick leads the Atlantic-10 in BA, AB’s, Hits, Triples, RBI, Total Bases, and Slugging Percentage. His former Chaminade teammate has the second most hits in the Atlantic-10. Red Devils, then Boilermaker/Fighting Irish, and now together again as Billikins. We here at Playing On Sports know who we will be writing about into the postseason!
Dylan Dreiling (Hays/Univ. of Tennessee) is first on the leaderboard in RBI, while Lee Allen (Lincoln College Prep/Prairie View A & M) is second in Stolen Bases. Also ranking high in multiple categories are Gideon Antle (Licking/Ohio University), Garrett Pennington (Shawnee Mission West/North Carolina State), Chuck Ingram (Rockhurst, Kansas State University), and Jimmy Obertop (Westminster Christian Academy/Clemson University).
Below you will see that Kyle Putthoff (Marquette/Northwestern University) leads Missouri and Kansas pitchers in ERA. He is also second in the Big Ten. Charlie Bell (Olathe East/Univ. of Nebr.-Omaha) is first in both Strikeouts and in the Strikeout to Walk Ratio leader. His KO’s are fourth in the Summit League. Zach Davidson (Helias Catholic/Indiana State) leads all pitchers in Opposing Batting Average. He is the fourth high in the Missouri Valley Conference
