Yes, soon that homeplate will be by itself until next season. But first there are six national titles to be won. NCAA Baseball and Softball, in all three Divisions. And when all is said and done, there will be more to be said. That is how it works around the ball diamond. We must look back and discover, and then appreciate, the accomplishments of the local talent that came from Missouri and Kansas high schools.

Each of these articles will contain every local player who competed in:

NCAA Division I, II, or III Baseball, or

NCAA Division I, II, or III Softball.

There will be special highlights for each of those athletes who:

Was named Academic All-District

Was named Academic All-America

Was awarded a postseason conference honor

Was named All-American

Finished in the Top 5 in the conference in an array of statistics

Finished in the Top 10 in the nation in an array of statistics

And for each group, all the local athletes will be identified by name, year, position, high school, college, and conference. All of that, along with 26 pitching statistics and 22 batting statistics.

Contained in those six articles will be the 1,383 NCAA Baseball and Softball athetes who call Missouri or Kansas home.
