Two Area Grads Named AP Football All-American
Two named among the most elite. One from Missouri and one from Kansas
There are finals and a bowl game for which to prepare. However, I hope these two take a moment to reflect on their accomplishment. They are being honored by being placed in that small handful simply known as “The Best”.
Among the 2022 AP All-America Football Team are:
AP Second Team
Cooper Beebe (Piper High/Kansas State)
Cooper is a 6’4”, 322 pound fourth year player. The former Pirate was a First Team Academic All-Big 12 his second year. Following his third year, he was named First Team All-Big 12. This year he was a Preseason All Big 12 and Preseason All-American. Cooper is also on the Outland Trophy Watch List which is awarded to the nation’s best interior lineman.
AP Third Team
Felix Anudike-Uzomah (Lee’s Summit/Kansas State)
Felix is a 6’4”, 255 pound third year player. Last year the former Tiger accumulated several player of the week awards such as the Walter Camp National Defensive Player, the Bednarik Award Player, the Bronko Nagurski Player, in additon to the Big 12
Player of the Week. Before becoming an All-American, this year Felix was named a preseason All Big 12, preseason All-American, and is on the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list which is awarded to the nation’s best defensive player.
