NCAA Division II MBB - A Lot of Scoring Going On
There are 152 Missouri and Kansas athletes competing in NCAA Division II MBB. Nine of them lead their team in scoring. They also play long minutes, assist and play defense. Come see.
What is Playing On Sports?
Playing On Sports covers the graduates of 1,000 high schools located in Kansas and Missouri who compete in 11 sports in any of the 1,100 NCAA Division I, II, or III colleges and universities.
Our best athletes go on to play the sport they love in college. It is impossible to keep track of them because our lives are busy. And then there is the Transfer Portal. Contact is lost. Until now. Playing on Sports is the only publication that delivers so much information on so many athletes as they compete at the next level. No longer are they “Out of sight, out of mind”.
Every athlete is identified by their name, sport, position, class, high school, college, and collegiate conference.

NCAA Division II MBB
Anias Futrell (McCluer/Christian Brothers Univ.) leads all scores with 19.9 pts per game. He is the only junior among the top five scores. Riley Naeger (St. Pius X-Festus/Drury Univ.) is connecting on almost two-thirds of his 3PT attempts. There are five who are .500 or better from three point land. You must be conditioned to play any sport. But basketball….the playing area is much smaller than a football field or a soccer pitch. The surface is much harder, too. But, don’t tell Owen Long (Sikeston/Emporia State Univ.). He is on the court for 37 minutes per game. And don’t foul either Andrew Orr (Blue Valley North/Washburn Univ.) or Kobi Williams (Westminster Christian Academy/Truman State). They both shoot North of 90%. Who dishes the ball? That would be Xavier Hall (Bishop Miege/Truman State). He easily has the most assists so far this season. And they say that the transition from high school to college is a lot about catching up with the increased speed and tempo of the college game. Kaeson Fisher-Brown (Derby/Newman Univ.) has made that adjustment. As a freshman, he already leads this group of athletes in the Assist/Turnover Ratio.
Those are just a few of the highest highlights. Just below are the Top Five’s. And then there is The Spreadsheet with all of the data at the end.
