NCAA DIII Softball: Local Athletes Competing in the Postseason
Only 4 of the 82 who competed in DIII made it to the NCAA postseason. Three freshmen and a sophomore.
Coming next are the men from Missouri and Kansas who made it to the NCAA postseason. And following that are the postseason wrap ups detailing all of their statistics and postseason honors. Yes, for all 1,383 athletes. You need to get your free subscription so that you won’t miss that.
As noted before, there are only 4 NCAA DIII schools in all of Kansas and Missouri. That leads to fewer competing in DIII than in DI and DII. These ladies found teams where they could play early. Three are freshmen while the other is a sophomore. We look forward to next year!

Lauren Argo - Freshman - Infield - Marquette - Millikin University - College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin
The Big Blue was eliminated in their Regional competition. They lost wo Wartburg College 2 to 3, defeated Waynesburg University 3 to 1, and then lost again to Wartburg 0 to 8.
As a freshman, Lauren played in 3 games this year. She got one hit in 5 at bats and stole the one base she attempted.
Millikin finished the season 31 and 11.
Avery McClure - Freshman - Infield - Bolivar - Swarthmore College - Centennial Conference
The Garnet was eliminated in their Regional competition. They defeated Randolph-Macon College 3 to 2, and then defeated Ramapo College 5 to 2. But they they fell twice to Randolph-Macon 0 to 4 and 0 to 3.
As a freshman, Avery hit .326 for the season, the fourth highest on her team.
Swarthmore finished the season 26 and 18.
Myora Slaughter - Sophomore - Pitcher - Blue Springs - Rosemont College - Colonial States Athletic Conference
The Ravens were eliminated in their Regional competition. They lost to Berry College 1 to 5 and to St. Thomas (TX) 0 to 12.
Myora pitched 18 and a third innings this year, posting an ERA of 3.05.
Rosemont finished the season 21 and 17.
Carly Ward - Freshman - Pitcher - School of the Osage - Millikin University - College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin
The Big Blue was eliminated in their Regional competition. They lost to Wartburg College 2 to 3, defeated Waynesburg University 3 to 1, and then lost again to Wartburg 0 to 8.
In her freshman year, Carly pitched in 3 games. She faced 9 batters and in innings of work, giving up 0 runs.
