NCAA DII WBB. To the Elite Eight!
After three rounds only one local lady is still dancing in the NCAA DII WBB tournament. Come see who she is and where she will play next
Eleven teams with local WBB talent entered the NCAA DII Tournament. After three rounds, only one team remains in contention. Glenville State College is ranked No. 4 in the country as they go into the Elite Eight. They will play No, 1 ranked Ashland on Monday at 8:30. You can follow the game here.

Glenville State College
Glenville is in the Elite Eight. In the first 3 rounds they defeated Elizabeth City State 84 to 60, Shippensburg 107 to 76, and West Chester 88 to 63. They will play the University of Tampa on Monday. That game will be played in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Tor’e Alford - Junior - Derby - Glenville State College - Mountain East Conference
Tor’e has has a good tournament She has upped her season scoring from 6.3 points per game to just under 9. In three games she also has 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.
West Virginia State
The Yellow Jackets lost to Shippensburg University in the first round, 83 to 87. Their season ends with a 22 and 7 record.

Alana started the game, only her sixth start of the year. She scored 2 points, got 1 block, 1 rebound, and 2 steals.
Drury University
No. 2 ranked Drury defeated Lewis in the first round, 71-60, before losing to No 5 ranked Grand Valley State in the second round, 53 to 61.

Allie Clevenger - Junior - Clever - Drury University - Great Lakes Valley Conference
Allie scored 18 and got 4 rebounds in her two NCAA tournament games.
Kaylee DaMitz-Holt - Graduate Student - Skyline - Drury University - Great Lakes Valley Conference
Kaylee topped off a First Team All-Conference year with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists in her two NCAA tournament games.
Alana Findley - Senior - Fair Grove - Drury University - Great Lakes Valley Conference
Alana averaged 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in the tournament. The conference leader in steals also stole 6 balls.
Rhi Gibbons - Freshman - Nixa -Drury University - Great Lakes Valley Conference
The freshman did not get playing time in the NCAA tournament.
Mia Henderson - Senior - Benton - Drury University - Great Lakes Valley Conference
Mia scored 8 points and pulled down 9 rebounds in the two tournament games.
Anna Hitt - Sophomore - Ozark - Drury University - Great Lakes Valley Conference
Anna scored 9 points and got 5 rebounds in the first round game .
Terrion Moore - Graduate Student - Leavenworth - Drury University - Great Lakes Valley Conference

University of Central Missouri
The Jennies, who were ranked 11th nationally, were upset by Minnesota State in the first round, 81 to 83. They finish the year with 25 wins and 5 losses.

The conference player of the year scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, both more than her season average, but it just wasn’t enough to stave off the upset. The redshirt sophomore got 4 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.

Olivia stepped up big, scoring nine more than her average. She was 7 for 10 from the field and 7 for 8 from the line.

The freshman scored 5 points in her 10 minutes of playing time.

University of Nebraska-Kearney
Ranked No. 10 nationally, the Lopers lost to Pittsburg State in the first round, 54 to 74. Nebraska-Kearney ends their year with 28 wins and 5 losses.

Pittsburg State University
The Gorillas upset No. 10 ranked Nebraska-Kearney in the first round, 74 to 54 before losing to No. 18 Missouri Southern. Pitt State ends the year with 23 and 8 record.

The sophomore from Maize stepped up and had a good NCAA tournament. In two games she scored 16 points and pulled down 15 rebounds.

Shayla did not get into either tournament game.
Grace Pyle - Sophomore - McPherson - Pittsburg State Univ. - Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association
Grace scored 30 points in the two games, including a team leading 30 in their first round upset win. She also pulled down 11 boards in the tournament.
Harper Schreiner - Freshman - Eudora - Pittsburg State Univ. - Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association
Harper scored 11 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 7 assists in the two tournament games. The freshman showed that she was the conference’s best free throw shooter by making all 6 attempts in the tournament.
Jenna Shipley - Sophomore RS - Adrian - Pittsburg State Univ. - Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association
The redshirt sophomore scored 2 point, pulled down 2 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists in the two tournament games.
Missouri Southern State University
The Lions earned the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association automatic birth by winning the conference tournament with wins over No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney and No. 10 Central Missouri. In the NCAA, they defeated Augustana 75 to 74 and Pittsburg State 73 to 64 before falling to No. 6 ranked Minnesota-Duluth, 76 to 77, in the Regional championship game.

Layne Skiles - Senior - Purdy - Missouri Southern State Univ. - Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association
Layne stepped it up in the NCAA, scoring nearly 12 points per game while pulling down just under 5 boards per game. Both of those are above her season averages. She also dished out 4 assists, got 4 steals, and blocked 4 shots in the NCAA tournament.
Lacy Stokes - Sophomore - Mount Vernon - Missouri Southern State Univ. - Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association
The sophomore had an outstanding end to her outstanding sophomore season. She upped her team leading 17.3 points per game to 25 for the NCAA tournament. And she upped her rebounds from 4.1 per game to 6. My definition of MVP is that player you most cannot do without. The Lions played 120 minutes of basketball in the tournament. Lacy spent on 8 minutes on the bench.
Madison Stokes - Junior RS - Cassville - Missouri Southern State Univ. - Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association
Madison scored 19 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in the 3 NCAA tournament games.
Tuskegee University
The Golden Tigers lost in the first round to the University of Tampa, 64 to 82.
