This year is no different from past years. Missouri and Kansas continue to produce volleyball talent that is disproportionate to the population. The talent level may even be increasing. There are 64 NCAA Division I teams in the tournament. This area provides 55 athletes from 42 high schools who compete for 26 colleges and universities.
The format has four 16 team regions where eight teams are seeded. Eighteen of our 26 athletes compete on seeded teams, two on No.1 seeds and three on No. 2 seeds. The local athletes for each team are listed.
