Area Volleyball Ladies Killing it in the SEC
There are 18 ladies from Missouri and Kansas playing for 5 SEC schools. And are they ever producing!
The 18 area ladies who are playing in the SEC come from 18 different high schools, as small as Living Word Christian in St. Louis to as large as Blue Springs South. And they are excelling at the game of volleyball.
Abigail Archibong (Mill Valley/Arkansas) MB Graduate Student
After transferring from Kansas State for her graduate studies at Arkansas, Abigail has started every match this year. She also is second in total blocks from her middle blocker position.
Anna Bair (Ursuline Academy/Mississippi) OH Senior
Anna is leading Ole Miss in kills for the third consecutive year. Currently, her kills are the 10th most in the SEC. She leads the Rebels in service aces and is 4th in the conference. It appears the former Bear will build upon her AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention status she earned as a junior.
Meauna Booth (Blue Springs South/Mississippi) MB RS-Sophomore
After transferring from Long Beach State, Meauna has played in two matches while starting in one.
Anna Dixon (Louisburg/Missouri) OH Senior
After receiving All-Big 12 Rookie Team honors in 2019 as a Kansas State Wildcat, Anna transferred to Missouri. She upped the postseason honor her sophomore year to All-SEC. This year Anna has been named to the USA Volleyball Collegiate National Team. The 6’3’ outside hitter is second on her team in kills this year after leading the Tigers a year ago.
Jasmine Dulan (Blue Valley North/Missouri) OH Freshman
The AVCA All-American as a high school senior has appeared in 60 sets while recording 40 digs.
Lauren Forbes (Kickapoo/Missouri) DS Sophomore
After recording 132 digs as a freshman, Lauren is currently 4th on her team with 132 so far this year.
Jillian Gillen (Barstow/Arkansas) OH Senior
Jillian was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2019. She followed that up with All-SEC Team status her sophomore and junior years. It was no surprise that she was named to the Preseason All-SEC team this year. The Barstow grad is climbing The Razorback record book in several categories.
Sydney Handel (Lee’s Summit West/Auburn) Pin Hitter Freshman
The two time Missouri All State honoree has seen action in three matches so far her freshman year as a Tiger.
Jordan Iliff (Mehlville/Missouri) RS Sophomore
After being named the top senior recruit in St. Louis by PrepVolleyball, Jordan recorded 173 kills as a freshman. Thus far this year, the 6’2” sophomore is 3rd on her team in both points and kills.
Morgan Isenberg (Lafayette-Wildwood/Missouri) MB Sophomore
Morgan earned Missouri All-State honors and was named to the AVCA Phenom list her senior year at Lafayette. As a sophomore Tiger this year, she has played in three sets in three matches.
Courtney Jackson (Olathe Northwest/Arkansas) Libero Sophomore
Last year, Courtney earned All SEC Freshman honors while splitting time as the libero. The Olathe Northwest product is now the regular libero as a sophomore and leads the team in digs while having the 10th most digs in the SEC
Ella Larken (Bishop Carroll/LSU) Libero Sophomore
This week Ella was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week. Last year as a freshman, her 301 digs earned her SEC All-Freshman recognition. In her second year the Bishop Carroll product leads the SEC with 364 digs.
Addison Lyon (Living Word Christian/Missouri) Setter Sophomore
Addison is awaiting her return to the court in her sophomore year.
Bailee Middleton (Liberty/Mississippi) Libero Sophomore
Bailee is awaiting her return to the court in her sophomore year.
Madison Scheer (Eureka-Mo/Auburn) Pin Hitter Freshman
Madison is off to a great start to her intercollegiate career. The 6’1” pin hitter is second on the Tiger Volleyball Team in both points and kills.
Samantha Schnitta (Blue Valley Southwest/Mississippi) RS Junior
After coming back from a season ending injury her sophomore year, Samantha has played in 24 sets in 10 matches with a season high 14 kills against Georgia Tech.
Madilyn Sell (Marquette/Missouri) MB Freshman
Madilyn was the No. 2 senior recruit that came out of Missouri last year according to PrepVolleyball. And she hasn’t disappointed. As a freshman the 6’3” middle blocker has started every match for the Tigers and is 2nd on the team in blocks.
Bel Zimmerman (Liberty North/Auburn) Pin Hitter Freshman
The Liberty North product was ranked as the No. 1 right side in the state of Missouri last year. Bel is off to a great start of her intercollegiate career being 3rd on her Tiger team in kills while starting 13 matches.
