In its transition from the regular season to the postseason, this morning, the Southeastern Conference announced its individual honors for the season. Playing on Sports tracks and reports on all Kansas and Missouri high school graduates who compete in 11 NCAA sports. Once again, our local athletes frequent postseason honors at the highest levels. This is just one conference. And just one sport. Playing On Sports presents this here so that you can get an idea as to how much to to follow. This is just one sport, in one conference, in one NCAA Division.
Some amazing feats will be listed below. But, for you to consider what a small subset this is, think this through:
This list draws from the 18 local women’s soccer athletes who compete in the Southeastern Conference. There are 185 more who compete elsewhere in NCAA Division I. And there is an additional 444 who compete in Divisions II and III.
The Southeastern Conference is but one Division I conference. There are 19 more where our local women soccer athletes compete. Each with its own postseason honors. Plus, all of the Division II and III conferences.
Women’s Soccer is one sport. There are four more followed by Playing On Sports. Each with many local standouts.
